About Erin

Rooted in the raw beauty of nature, each piece emerges as a modern relic.

Hi! I’m Erin, a local artist creating botanical artwork from natural materials. My framed works feature preserved plants—including moss, lichen, flowers, mushrooms, wood, and occasionally insects—highlighting the beauty of nature through intricate compositions and organic textures.

As an environmentalist and avid gardener, I’m a strong advocate for native plants. I grow or forage many of the materials I use in my work. My botanical art is a passion project—a way to bring nature indoors in a low-maintenance form while honoring the beauty and abundance of the natural world.

My work reflects the circle of life. Many of the plants begin as seeds in early spring, are transplanted into the garden, and harvested throughout the seasons. Preservation happens in my basement studio, where each botanical element continues its transformation.

I’m especially drawn to plants in their later stages—after petals have fallen and they’ve been shaped by time and the elements. Some of my favorites include poppies and mountain mint. Both are given the chance to reseed, leaving behind abstract poppy pods and multi-tiered, gray-blue mountain mint with its wonderful fragrance.

This sense of aging, regeneration, and impermanence is central to my work. I’m inspired by what remains, and by the quiet beauty plants reveal beyond their peak bloom.

Each year my garden looks a little different, as I’m always experimenting, learning what works. and discovering new plants to grow and preserve. Shaped by time and change, my art evolves just as nature does.

Take a look around the shop, and if you have something special in mind, I’d love to create it with you. Come say hi on Instagram to see what I’m working on next.
